Regular bike rides that take place from our Sidmouth shop:
Short & Easy Bimble – Alternate Saturdays 09:30am duration 1-1.5 hrs.
Our Saturday morning bimble bike rides starts from the shop at 9:30 am and lasts for about 1-1.5 hours at an easy pace avoiding as many hills as we can with an optional cafe stop. We welcome electric bike riders and often have demonstrator ebikes if you would like to try one on the ride. Check Facebook posts for details.
Steady “Club” Ride – Alternate Sundays 8:30am duration 2.5-3 hrs.
This is a steady small group road ride for experienced riders meeting from The Bowd. A 25kmph average pace. Non-drop policy. No cafe stops but optional finish at a cafe. Check Facebook posts for route details and any variations.
MTB – We often run adhoc mountainbike rides throughout the year. Check out our Facebook page for our next ride https://www.facebook.com/sidmouthcycleservice/
Our road bimble tends to head out on the quieter East Devon lanes, whilst we try to keep it as flat as possible, this is Devon and there might be the odd hill to deal with. Don’t worry though no one gets left behind. Sometimes we stop for cake and coffee en route other times we wait until we get back for a much deserved cream tea. If you would like to try one of our demo ebikes please call the shop in advance to arrange 01395 513331.
Our mountain bike rides take in a mixture of the many bridleways and singletrack that this area has to offer. Rides are usually between 15-20 miles and can last up to 3 hours! We’re not race training we like a chat and always stop to admire the view.
Please be advised we do not charge for your company on one of our ride outs. We are simply offering you the chance to join us and ride with like minded people. We have a great deal of experience riding in this area and wealth of cycling knowledge that comes with the job but we are not qualified ride leaders, so we do not accept any liability for loss, damage or injury. If you join us for a ride it is assumed that all riders will be self supported, helmets will be worn and that their bikes are in roadworthy condition. We ride with respect for the countryside, other road and trail users and always follow the Highway Code.
Specific details on our bike rides will be on our News & Reviews page and our facebook site Cycle Service Sidmouth
Sidmouth also has its own road cycling club (Sid Valley Cycling Club) which have regular rides on Wednesday and Friday mornings and its main Sunday morning Club run. Details on their Facebook page here Sid Valley Cycle Club
